Humpback salmon

Humpback salmon, originally introduced in Russia, compete with wild salmon for spawning grounds and food. After spawning, humpback salmon die quickly. The dead fish are often attacked by parasites and bacteria, which can increase the infection pressure in the river and degrade water quality.
