Imagine a small salmon smolt leaving Tana and embarks on its great adventure towards the open Atlantic Ocean. Below the surface it is carried by strong currents, hunting for prey and gradually growing larger and stronger. Research shows that salmon from Finnmark can live over vast ocean areas, from the waters around Greenland and Jan Mayen to the nutrient-rich waters of the Barents Sea.
