Climate change

Climate change is affecting salmon both in the river and in the ocean. Warmer climates mean higher water temperatures, more sea lice, and poorer living conditions for a species that thrives best in cold water. Fry and food availability are affected, and more extreme weather puts extra pressure on wild salmon.
