Presentation of research results Recosal - Karasjok and Utsjok May 19th and 20th

The research projects RecoSal and DEATNU , led by the Finnish Natural Resources Institute (LUKE) and ending this year, are organising two discussion meetings on the most important results from the projects: assessment of the state of salmon stocks, the role of predation on salmon smolts and fry, the use of traditional and local knowledge in salmon stock assessment and decision-making, and the status and development needs of salmon planning and decision-making. We will also present and discuss advice for research and management.

 The events are held on the Norwegian and Finnish sides:  

Tuesday, May 19th at 3 pm (Norwegian time), Karasjok, Sami Parliament  

Wednesday 20 May at 16.30 (Finnish time), Utsjoki Town Hall  

There will be interpretation at the events (Northern Sami, Norwegian, Finnish). You will need a smartphone on which you can install an app to get interpretation. Also bring headphones. The organizers have some extra headphones.    

You can choose which event you want to register for. You can also attend both events, if you wish.
