The Tana River Basin Fisheries Management, together with Joddu, has invited Einar Pettersen, who has solid experience in catching mink, to share his knowledge about mink catching over a good cup of coffee next Tuesday.
American mink, which are found along our waterways, are a result of previous escapes from mink farms and pose a significant threat to waterway and coastal nature, both for fish, birds and amphibians, including salmon and sea trout. The Tana River Basin Fish Management is therefore paying a bounty of 750 NOK per mink and is seeking increased knowledge and more participants in the volunteer effort.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced mink hunters who can also share their experiences.
